Q. Moving iTunes Library - moved from internal to external drive - lost some meta data. Now it needs to be moved back. Would like to avoid that, best way.
This is the way to move a library, it should not have lost meta data.
Q. How do I clean a system 9 machine to give away
- Copy the OS 9 files off the machine - format the drive - reinstall OS 9
- Norton had utilities for this under system 9
- Remove drive and replace
Q MS Word - help window has no toolbar, what to do?
cmmd+W will close the window. Other than that - ???
Q TWC - Went to internetfrog.com service was rated poor. Is there an issue?
Try changing DNS servers - try openDNS.org Need to swap modems to take advantage of faster TWC speeds
Q Computer not staying connected to airport.
Rule out computer wifi card - narrowed down to the router itself. To rule out interference from other wifi networks - change your channel to one not being used in your area. Keep in mind that airport to fail - wifi routers will fail. could be yours is on the way out.
Q New security update - anyone have problems.
Some but not a single common problem Here is an idea - restart you mac before installing an update. We forget that we don't restart them very often. Most of the time updates expose existing problem.
Q MacBook - using mail.app not using outgoing server they want.
Check mail.app prefs - check for other servers preset - delete what you don't need - check box that says 'use this server only'
