by Stefan at ~7:25 pm at Panera Restaurant, Patterson Place, Durham.

  • We will plan to promote food sales from the snack bar again

  • Bob Chandler is lined up to lead the Q&A.

June Meeting:

    • (iTunes, Slacker Radio, Last fm, Pandora, AOL Radio, SOMA FM, station websites, etc)
    • This covers both the Mac and iPhone/Touch devices.
  • TV / movie / cable alternatives for your Mac
    • Slingbox - Duane (um hmm…)

  • Intelliscanner - Paul Scandariato (He wrote back - not until summer or fall)

Treasury & Membership Reports

  • Members in good standing:, with renewals due, in grace, & recently expired.
  • There were in 46 attendance at the April meeting – 40 members & 4 guests; 3 renewed at the meeting, 1 other has joined or renewed by mail this month.
  • Cash in bank: $6,141.83.

New Business

  • Election of officers was overlooked for the March meeting. We need to proceed at the April meeting.
    • appoint a "nominating committee" to identify candidates - Duane volunteered to do this
    • present nominees to membership at May mtg
    • take nominations from the floor, elect, & accept officers at May mtg
    • hold elections at June mtg
  • Smythe suggests that we should blog Q&A each month
    • we need to identify someone to do it

Old Business

  • The follow up with Bob Chandler on his iMac prize is he & his wife have decided on an iMac. Stefan will complete the 990 form.
  • Smythe has talked Mike O. at Hope about providing limited food items plus beverages.
    • The coffee bar will be open from ~6 - ~7:30.
    • Stefan will confirm the details with Mike. Then he will post the specs to the list.
    • Chips will update the web accordingly.
  • We need to decide what to do with the old projector.
    • We will poll the members what they would like us to do with it.
    • Possible options include selling it on eBay, donating it to another non-profit (e.g. Eno River Assoc.), raffle it at a TMUG mtg., etc

TMUG server

  • [from Oct - ] Stefan has talked with MacHighway. One of the issues is that they don't use a Postfix email / Cyrus for IMAP system. (no new info)
