The December TMUG meeting was held on Monday, Dec 10. The NCML cafeteria was the venue for our annual holiday party. Duane Reaugh emceed the Q&A, while a near-record crowd on the order of 70 attendees took part in various snacks and drinks. We had not one but 2 great raffles, with Charles Mangin winning the Airport Extreme & Jim Flaherty taking home the OWC ministack 750GB external hard drive. One of our newest and youngest members, Ben Zalutsky, won a copy of Leopard and will be presenting a review of it at the Jan meeting.

Monday, December 10, 6:30 pm, North Carolina Mutual Life in downtown Durham

TMUG is planning a very big ending for 2007, after all it was a big year. Our December meeting is our annual holiday party. We will meet in the NCML café instead of the auditorium. There will be great food and drinks. Plenty of time to mix and mingle - get to know your fellow TMUGers. We'll follow this with the holiday edition of Questions and Answers. (just like regular Q and A but during the Decemeber meeting :-D )

Our presentation this month will be Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Apple System Engineer and TMUG member Francis Shepherd will show us the newest features in the newest incarnation of OS X.

We have a great raffle to end the year, with not one, but two great prizes

Thanks to our friend Norm at Best Buy - New Hope Commons, we have an Apple Airport Extreme base station as a prize in the raffle.

Very Cool – and...

We also decided that because Leopard is the program topic, and Time Machine is one of the terrific new features, that we would also raffle an external hard drive, a 750 Gb Firewire 800 / Firewire 400 / USB 2.0 / eSATA external hard drive. This drive is from OWC and we are sure it will add value to any Mac system.

Raffle tickets will be $5 each or 5 for $20. We will draw two winners from the same pool of tickets. First winner will have a choice of prizes. Buy as many tickets as you want, but, the same person may not win both prizes. This raffle will be held at the December meeting regardless of the number of tickets sold. TMUG Raffles are open to all, regardless of membership.
