Treasury & Membership Reports

  • Members in good standing: 94, with 9 renewals due, 4 in grace, & 8 recently expired.
  • There were in attendance at the March meeting – 36 members & 2 guests; 1 renewed at the meeting, 2 others have joined or renewed by mail this month.

New Business

  • Election of officers was overlooked for the March meeting. We need to proceed at the April meeting.
    • appoint a "nominating committee" to identify candidates - Duane volunteered to do this
    • present nominees to membership at April mtg
    • take nominations from the floor, elect, & accept officers at May mtg
  • Smythe suggests that we should blog Q&A each month
    • we need to identify someone to do it

Old Business

  • We need to follow up with Bob Chandler on his iMac prize. He said he would talk with his wife & decide which model Mac they want to get.
  • The power cables we have to supply power for users at the meeting are limited in that the receptacles are only at the ends.
    • Cort will take on adding "junction boxes" at intervals to the longer cord.
  • Smythe has talked Mike O. at Hope about providing limited food items plus beverages.
    • The coffee bar will be open from ~6 - ~7:30.
    • Stefan will confirm the details with Mike. Then he will post the specs to the list.
    • Chips will update the web accordingly.
  • We need to decide what to do with the old projector.
    • We will poll the members what they would like us to do with it.
    • Possible options include selling it on eBay, donating it to another non-profit (e.g. Eno River Assoc.), raffle it at a TMUG mtg., etc

TMUG server

  • [from Oct - ] Stefan has talked with MacHighway. One of the issues is that they don't use a Postfix email / Cyrus for IMAP system. (no new info)

meeting adjourned

at ~8:40 pm by Smythe.
